Q1) We are so glad to have you in Our Sport’s Section. Do tell us about the start of your inclination towards Cricket.
Ans : Thankyou for having me here.My journey in Cricket has been quite interesting so far. Since I was in fourth or fifth standard I had interest in Cricket. I was never very interested in studies but my mind was always stuck in games.
Till 8th or 9th standard I gave my hundred percent in studies but Cricket always occupied a major space in my mind. However my mother and my elder brother was quite fixated with the idea that I should do something in studies if I was serious about my career.

Q2) It is actually very common in households that one should pursue education in the focus and have everything else in the hindsight. How did your entry in formal cricket happen?
Ans : There is actually a time when you have to take up leather ball cricket if you are very serious about your work. That time was after 10th when I decided to take up leather ball cricket. So in Kolkata near Vivekanand Park, there was the Kolkata Cricket Academy there I did a camp for few days. Then near Dum dum there was Bhartiya Sangaha Club , when my journey actually begun and my Coach Sanjay Bagui was one of the strong pillars of the cricket career I have today.

Q3) So a lot of people who wants to join cricket is a bit confused of exactly what to choose between batting and bowling . What was your take in that?
Ans : Around in 2014 my coach always motivated me to come for practice and also work regularly on my skills. Initially when everyone is a kid they always want to start their journey with batting . Initially I was a lot into batting , after that my elder brother said that there is more scope in the bowling aspect.
In fact when my coaches asked me that you are a batter or a bowler , I said I will say the next day and my coaches said that we would work on one thing at a time as working on two things would be difficult. So I took up bowling then.
Q4) What was the perspective of your parents in your Sporting Career till now?
Ans : After a period of time, in tenth standard after I had to explain them that I was really serious about Cricket, since then my mother and my brother have always supported me in whichever ways they could. Like cricket is quite a costly profession and even to learn it , it takes huge time , so my parents have been a constant pillar for me of where I have reached today.
