In a sad traffic accident, a pick-up van collided with a truck near Charinangal chhak on NH-53 in the Jajpur district on Saturday, resulting in at least three fatalities and six serious injuries. According to accounts, nine people were riding in the pickup van from Chandikhole to Paradip at the time of the accident. One person passed away immediately, while others who had suffered serious injuries were sent to Badchana Hospital. All of the injured were afterwards taken to SCB Medical College and Hospital, where two of them later passed away from their wounds.
According to sources, two additional people’s conditions are thought to be serious. An eyewitness claims that the pickup van’s driver may have crashed into the truck because of fog or hasty driving.
