Sometimes destiny takes you to a distinct path where success greets you. Such has been the life of Mr Swaroop Ranjan Das. A person who concluded his studies in law and soon became an advocate had no notion that his fortune had a separate plan for him. However, the best part is that Mr Swaroop took cues from his destiny, and the rest is history. Today, he is one of the most prominent entrepreneurs of Odisha with a pan-India company Sarada System Private Limited.
Mr Swroop completed his postgraduate law degree and commenced his career as an advocate in the year 1996. He aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps, who was a technical consultant in Mayurbhanj. However, after the super cyclone struck Odisha, he shifted to Bhubaneswar for a stable livelihood. During those times, one of his friends suggested he pursue a career in the technical field as it was booming in the market.
Mr Das thought of giving it a try. He established his organization with the name of Sarada System Private Limited. Coincidently, during that time, there was a data entry project going around in Mayurbhanj. Sarada System got its tender, and the company triumphantly completed the project. During those days, data entry work was a challenging task in areas of Mayurbhanj:
- It wasn’t easy to get a higher number of computers at that time.
- The technology wasn’t developed during those days.
- It was an uphill task to teach data entry work to the retrograde section people of the region.
However, with self-confidence, courage and resolution, Mr Swaroop Ranjan Das was ready to taste success in his first project. After which, there was no looking back, as he started savouring his profession. Today, Sarada System Private Limited was one of the prominent local IT companies of Odisha.
For Mr Swaroop, his biggest idol is his father. Even today, he gets elevated motivation from him. Das still remembers his father’s word when he requested to originate his own venture. He follows those words till today as a Bible or a Gita. Das’s father being in the consultant field had seen diverse businesses tasting success and also pounded by failures. So, when his son wanted to start his venture, he replied, “Always treat every project as your first project. It will enable you to work with the same level of dedication for every project you get and help you sustain in the market.” Swaroop Rajan Das specifically followed his father’s word and has shown the same level of enthusiasm and engagement in every project he gets. Probably, it is the reason why his company has tasted success for over two decades now.
Swaroop Ranjan Das loves his IT work because of its diverse and challenging nature. IT is a sector required by almost all other professional fields of work. So whether it is the work of doctors, police, electricity department, schools, colleges, corporate office or even the government, they require the help of the IT sector. Therefore he gets unusual summons every time, and the question of boredom with the same type of work never arises.
The work of IT is always challenging. A project comes to an IT sector as an organization is unable to do a similar task. Therefore, a task requiring a year must be completed by an IT firm within a couple of months with zero per cent error. Therefore, it is tough and challenging and requires a huge workforce. However, the confidence in Mr Das has been able to make these challenges accomplished. Therefore, a company that originated with a Rs 10 lakh turnover in Bhubaneswar today has a turnover of nearly Rs 10 crores and has offices in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata and 17 regions of Odisha.
Swaroop Ranjan Das always believes in transparency and honesty among his employees. He treats his employees like his family and provides them salary on time. Also, all the fieldwork expenses are provided before the project commences so that the employee doesn’t suffer from any cash crunch during the work.
The future is bright for Mr Das. He plans to venture into the electricity department shortly. Also, he plans to start two full-fledged schools in Baripada, thereby diversifying his business.
