Two guys beheaded Kanhaiya Lal Teli, a tailor from Udaipur, today in the Maldas Street neighbourhood. A few days prior, he had posted on social media in support of Nupur Sharma.’Supreme Tailor’ was the name of Teli’s store in the Danmandi neighbourhood.
An alleged video shows the two murderers, one of whom goes by the name Riyaz and introduces the other as Mohammad, gloating about the beheading and threatening the life of Prime Minister Modi.Tensions have been raised in Udaipur and the nearby areas as a result of the alarming viral videos showing open murdering and threatening behaviour a la ISIS.Protests over the egregious death prompted the deployment of police forces and the closing of businesses in the neighbourhood where the crime occurred. When speaking about the tragedy, Udaipur SP said: “There has been a horrendous murder, and the issue will be thoroughly investigated. There are not many named defendants. Police teams were organised to find the accused. On the basis of the persons in the video who allegedly committed the deed, we will take action.”
