Renowned Telugu actor and Padma Shri awardee Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away on Sunday in Hyderabad at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy that spanned decades in Indian cinema. The news of his demise has prompted an outpouring of tributes from the film fraternity and fans alike.
Actor Vishnu Manchu took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his grief and honor the late actor’s immense contribution to cinema. Sharing a heartfelt message along with Rao’s photograph, Vishnu described him as “a legend beyond words.”
“My heart is heavy with the loss of Sri Kota Srinivasa Garu. A phenomenal actor, an unmatched talent, and a man whose presence lit up every frame he was in. Whether it was a serious role, a villain, or comedy — he brought life into every character with a rare mastery,” Vishnu wrote.
Reflecting on his own personal connection, he added, “I had the good fortune of working with him in several films and grew up watching him in many more. His work shaped my admiration for cinema.”
Vishnu concluded by offering condolences to the family and added, “Though we have lost him physically, his art, his laughter, and his soul will live on. Rest in peace, sir.”
