Another government worker in Odisha is under scrutiny for alleged corruption and the accumulation of excessive wealth. On Tuesday, the investigators from Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on a property connected to Nandi Kishore Nath, a junior clerk who works in the Rourkela office of the Executive Engineer of the Rural Works Division in the Sundargarh district. In response to the charges, the anti-corruption bureau’s sleuths carried out simultaneous raids. The raids, which took place at six locations in Bhubaneswar, Baragarh, Rourkela, and Sambalpur, involved three DSPs, nine inspectors, one SI, two ASIs, and other staff.
Raids were conducted at Nath’s residences in the Laxmisagar neighbourhood of Bhubaneswar’s Sai Krupa Enclave, VSS Nagar, his parents’ residence in Baragarh, Rourkela’s Rural Works Colony, Panposh, Rourkela, office space in Rourkela, and Ainthapalli in Sambalpur. The Sambalpur home of Nath’s relative was also searched by the vigilance officers. Up until the submission of the most recent report, additional searches were being conducted.
