She added that while it takes a lot of trust and goodwill to foster brotherhood, all it takes is one slip-up to fuel hatred and division.”We are at a critical crossroads right now. The kind of future that our children will inherit will depend on our decision to start down the path of healing. Gandhi urged Manipuris to “lead the way in bringing peace and harmony to this beautiful land,” especially his heroic sisters.
As a mother, the former head of the Congress claimed to understand their suffering and urged them to follow their good conscience.
