Will India bid for Olympics ?

According to Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, India will submit a proposal to host the Olympics in 2036, and Ahmedabad in Gujarat is likely to be the location due to its top-notch athletic facilities.
Why not sports if India is making headlines in every industry, from manufacturing to services? India is seriously considering making a bid for the 2036 Olympics, Thakur continued.

The 2036 edition will be awarded, but the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has not specified a timetable for doing so. The IOC has stated that it is in exploratory conversations with 10 cities.
According to Thakur, the slots are filled up until 2032 but become available for bidding starting in 2036. Therefore, the government will support the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) application for the next opening. He stated that during the IOC session set to take place in Mumbai in September of next year, a roadmap for India’s bid would be presented to all members of the IOC.

The Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games were previously held in India in 1982 and 2010, respectively. “I am sure the government would be able to pitch in to host the Olympics in the country together with the IOA if India can hold the G20 Presidency in such a huge fashion.”Potential competitors for the Games include Qatar, which hosted this year’s FIFA World Cup, as well as Indonesia and South Korea. Despite fierce political opposition, Germany is pondering whether to submit another bid for the Olympics.
