According to reports, a doctor from Hyderabad has sued Samantha Ruth Prabhu for defamation since she used the name of his hospital in the movie “Yashoda.”Although it premiered on November 11 in theatres, the movie’s availability on streaming sites has been delayed until December 19 while the civil court conducts its hearing.
In addition to the actress, the filmmakers have been charged with “misusing the name and hurting the reputation of the hospital,” according to Dr. Mohan Kumar, the owner of the Eva IVF Hospital. Sources claim that the court has sent notifications asking for their responses. The film is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad and directed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan. It was concurrently filmed in Tamil and Telugu, and then dubs in the other three languages were added.
In the film, Yashoda, played by Samantha Prabhu, adopts a child in exchange for cash to pay for her sister’s medical care. According to the movie’s plot, she is taken to a hospital called “Eva,” where she discovers that several of the other patients are becoming surrogates because they are poor and require money just as much as she does.Despite the fact that commercial surrogacy is outlawed in India, the movie centres around a company that illegally “rents out wombs.”
Samantha just disclosed that she had recently received a diagnosis of myositis, an autoimmune disease. Sam’s upcoming film appearance will be in Gunasekhar’s mythical drama Shaakuntalam. Allu Arha, the daughter of Tollywood icon Allu Arjun, plays a crucial part in the film as well.
