Tapas Sahu, managing director and CEO of Adityapur-based Highco Engineers Pvt Ltd, has been elected the new Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Jharkhand State Council for 2022-23 on Monday.
Recently, his name was announced at the first annual meeting of the reconstituted CII Jharkhand State Council, which was held in Jamshedpur.
He is the youngest Chairman of the industry body at 43. Sahu is a BE and MBA who has over 20 years of experience in light to heavy fabrication and press shop technology. Former Vice-Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council, he continues to serve on the CII Jharkhand State Council.
Also, he served as the Chairman of the CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council and the Young Indians Jharkhand Chapter.
Furthermore, he is a member of the Eastern region executive committee for the National HR Council and a member of the regional council of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA).
The Economic Growth Society of India, New Delhi, presented him with the Rashtriya Nirman Ratan Award.He also teaches at several engineering colleges and graduate schools.The plant head of Tata Motors, Vishal Badshah, has been elected vice-chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council for 2022-23.
Vikhal Badshah has almost three decades of experience in manufacturing and business management in automotive, engineering, and construction equipment organizations across geographies.
After joining Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile company, as a fresh engineering graduate, Badshah has grown and now heads the Jamshedpur plant.Among his core competencies and areas of interest are strategic business planning, supply chain management, change management, new product introduction, lean manufacturing, etc.
On the same day as the annual meeting, CII Jharkhand organized a session entitled Emerging Jharkhand: Envisioning Jharkhand @ 2047.Participants in the session represented a variety of sectors. They discussed opportunities, current challenges, and ways to promote industrial development in Jharkhand.
