There has been a crazy trend for the term “Nepotism” for the past two months. While the preponderance is abreast of this phrase, people who get its privilege are always supportive. By no qualms, the B-Town entertainment industry is the most immeasurable worshipper of Nepotism.
The entertainment fraternity revolves around legacy and belives in passing the realms of the expertise to the predecessors. While many icons with the help of their rich filmy background have become celebrated stars, there are many stars who, despite several endeavours from their family, failed to make a mark at Bollywood Industry.
Let’s have a look at some of the failed Star Kids in the limelight of the Bollywood.
Harman Bhaweja!!!, yes, the Hrithik Roshan Lookalike. The actor made his debut in the year 2008, with the movie Love Story 2050, alongside her rumoured girlfriend of that era- Priyanka Chopra. Probably, this is the biggest accomplishment of Harman as an actor.
Harman was born to archetypical filmy fraternity parents- his father, a renowned film director Harry Baweja and his mother, a producer Pammi Baweja. However, despite having such a strong family upbringing, the actor couldn’t make a mark at Box-Office.
While mostly, it was because of his confined acting skills, his identical Hrithik look was also partly responsible for it. In a six-year-old career, he did four movies, neither of them making a mark at Box-Office.
Mahaakshay Chakraborty Aka Mimoh
There was a lot of promotion and hype when B-Town decided to launch Mahaakshay Chakraborty. Why not??? He is the son of the yesteryear dancing superstar Mithun Chakravorty. Therefore, the whole Bollywood was backing Mimoh to be the next big thing in B-Town. Unfortunately, apart from the dancing skill, the actor did not inherit any of the acting qualities of his father. His long blonde hair and one tone-deaf acting made a mockery of Mimoh in his debut movie. In his 12 year-long movie career, Mahaakshay has just given a solo hit of Haunted 3D, from his eight movie list. He is all set to feature in and as I am Mulayam Singh Yadav as Mulayam Singh Yadav, this year.
Whenever we talk about Zayed Khan, two instances come to our mind. First, lucky the younger brother of Major Ram Prasad Sharma played by Shah Rukh Khan in the iconic movie of Main Hoon Na in 2004 and the famous track of Dus Bahane featuring him and Junior Bachchan from the movie Dus in 2005. However, this guy has acted in over 20 flicks and has even featured in a lead role in a daily television serial Haasil in 2017-2018. The actor is the son of the famous Bollywood actor Sanjay Khan. Even that couldn’t help him to make a mark in the entertainment world. It was mostly due to the bad preference of movies and dull dialogue deliveries, which led to Zayed’s downfall.
When you are an actor and helm from progenitor Superstar Rajesh Khanna and extremely versatile Dimple Kapadia, there is no chance of stepping backward to make your name in the Bollywood industry. However, after acting in over a dozen movies and being in the industry over two decades, when you are best known as the wife of superstar Akshay Kumar, there is something amiss. Twinkle Khanna never made a mark as an actress in her six-year-long career featuring 16 films from 1995- 2001. Thereafter, she decided to take a permanent break from acting and live a happy married life with Akshay Kumar. Of course, in the last decade, she has been successful as an author and producer.
The worst is for the last!!! When you helm from a family background of the famous Yash Raj films and is only remembered for your side comic roles in the Dhoom series, there is something seriously wrong with you.
Exactly, Uday Chopra was never destined to become an actor but had the privilege of getting into the industry. In an acting career of over 12 years, the actor never impressed the audience, aside from his role in the Dhoom series. Even in the last flick of the Dhoom franchise, he was barely tolerable and highly irritating.
