The central government has broken its silence on the issue of lack of RemDCV in the treatment of the corona virus and its media coverage. Policy Commission Member (Health) Dr. B.K. Paul discussed the issue at a weekly press conference on Tuesday. It is a medication available at the hospital and is given only to critically ill patients in the covid 19, he said.
“The doctor is using the drug only for patients who are hospitalized with covid 19,” he said. So there is no reason to line up in front of a regular drugstore for such a drug. In the covid 19, there is no such thing as a mild infection, and no one can stay at home without medical attention. As a result, the government has halted its exports to Halachilla, which has been shut down due to non-availability of RemDCV.
According to the Covid-19 clinical protocol, the drug is intended to be used only in critically ill patients with coronavirus as a research treatment. He appealed to doctors to use the medication in a balanced, appropriate and conscientious manner to treat critically ill corona patients admitted to Hospital. Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of the rising incidence of covid 19 in India.
