Odisha Government approves Rs 30.58 crore for Biswanath Pandit library

Around 5 am, a tourist bus collided with a truck carrying chrome ore that was parked close to a dhaba, according to Balasore Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sasanka Sekhar Beura. Twenty pilgrims from Nepal who were riding in the bus were among the 21 individuals who were hurt. According to him, the Nepalese pilgrims were released from the hospital after treatment and all the injured persons were brought to Soro Hospital. As his health worsened, the bus driver was eventually sent to the district headquarters hospital in Balasore, according to the SDPO.

The locals in Cuttack evaluated the library’s immediate necessity and its accessibility to the bus stop for the advantage of those traveling from adjacent villages and towns during Secretary (5T) V K Pandian’s visit. The Biswanath Pandit Library was established in 1981 in Saheed Bhawan in Cuttack City, and in 1998 it moved to a new structure in Khannagar. Both book lovers and researchers have long wished to visit the library.

The library attracted visitors from the surrounding districts because of its enormous book collection. As the Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal was being built, the library was moved to the Odisha Administrative Tribunal (OAT), which is close to the Judicial Academy.
