In light of the growing tensions between Israel and Iran, Air India has temporarily halted flights to Tel Aviv. Direct flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv will be discontinued until further notice, an official announced on Sunday. Between the Israeli city and the Indian capital, Air India offers four weekly flights. On March 3, the airline controlled by the Tata group resumed flights to Tel Aviv following an almost five-month hiatus. After Hamas abruptly attacked Israel on October 7, flights to and from Tel Aviv were banned, triggering a state of war.
And now the area is about to witness another conflict. Iran launched a volley of missiles and drones at Israeli sites on Saturday night and early Sunday morning in an apparent attempt to “avenge” the 13 people that were murdered in a suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus two weeks prior. The world is still in suspense as Israel considers how to respond to Iran’s relentless assaults with drones and missiles.
Iran threatened Israel and the US on Sunday, stating that if retribution for its attack on Israeli land occurs, there will be a much bigger response.
