To ensure that the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath and His siblings are conducted well, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has asked for the assistance of all servants, the government, several social groups, and the local populace. While presiding over the Rath Yatra State-level review meeting on Tuesday at Puri Town Hall, the Chief Minister made the request.
The Chief Minister stated during the meeting that Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s initial servants were the Adivasis or indigenous people. The Chief Minister declared, “I have fully devoted myself to Lord Jagannath as an Adivasi.” The entire globe observes the Rath Yatra as a significant religious and spiritual celebration in honour of Lord Jagannath, who represents the Odia race. Thus, everyone ought to respect it with the highest commitment and accountability,” the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that everyone would cooperate so that the Rath Yatra could be concluded without incident, as thousands of foreign devotees are expected to visit Puri. The Chief Minister has conveyed optimism and trust that the people of Puri, Mahaprabhu’s servants, the government, and the police will execute the legendary Rath Yatra of Mahaprabhu flawlessly and with a spirit of dedication and service.
Given that this year’s Rath Yatra was unique, he expressed his satisfaction with the new government’s takeover and announced that, given the event takes place over two days, there will be a holiday on the following day. July 7th and 8th have been designated official holidays as a result. The gathering included the Chief Secretary, senior officers, Mahaprabhu’s servants, other Ministers, MLAs, Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
