After 100 days of the 2024–25 fiscal year, the Paradip Port Authority (PPA) in Odisha has handled a record 41.12 million metric tons (MMT) of cargo. According to PPA chairman P L Haranadh, “this outstanding performance sets a new record for the port, reflecting a 4.78 per cent growth compared to the 39.25 MMT achieved during the same period in 2023-24.”
This noteworthy achievement highlights the port’s vital role in supporting India’s maritime infrastructure as well as its persistent dedication to improving capacity and operating efficiency. He continued, “This accomplishment demonstrates Paradip Port Authority’s continuous commitment to creating new standards in cargo handling and making a major contribution to the economic growth of the country.”
