His expertise in managing fuel linkages, procurement, and logistics ensured seamless operations in various capacities. His tenure at Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd as Managing Director further honed his skills in managing large-scale energy projects, optimizing power generation efficiency, and implementing cost-effective fuel strategies. His leadership in GSECL played a pivotal role in enhancing Gujarat’s energy security, positioning the state as a leader in the power sector. Since assuming charge in January 2023, Prasanna Kumar Motupalli has led NLCIL with a clear vision of enhancing operational efficiency, expanding renewable energy portfolios, and ensuring sustainable energy production. Under his leadership, NLC India Limited has set ambitious targets, aiming to expand its total capacity to 20 GW by 2030, with 10 GW dedicated to renewable energy. The company currently generates 1,431 MW of renewable power and is actively implementing projects totaling over 2,060 MW.
