Meerut Murder Accused Severely Addicted to Drugs; Refuses Food, Demands Marijuana and Morphine in Jail

Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, accused in the brutal murder of merchant navy employee Saurabh Rajput, are struggling with severe drug addiction in jail, experiencing intense withdrawal symptoms and refusing food in pursuit of narcotics.

Jail officials revealed that Sahil displayed extreme restlessness without marijuana, while Muskan insisted on morphine injections. Authorities have taken extra precautions to prevent self-harm or harm to others due to their dependency.

The duo was arrested for killing Muskan’s husband, Saurabh Rajput, on March 4. They allegedly stabbed him to death, dismembered his body, and concealed it in a cement-filled drum. After attempting to cover their tracks, they traveled to Himachal Pradesh, where they reportedly celebrated Holi, cut a cake, and posed for pictures before returning to Meerut on March 17.

Upon their arrest and placement in judicial custody, Muskan’s health deteriorated on the first night, prompting urgent medical treatment for severe drug withdrawal. Meanwhile, Sahil created chaos in the jail, demanding drugs and exhibiting uncontrollable agitation. Officials confirmed their dependency on narcotics, with measures being taken to manage their withdrawal symptoms.
