Today – when we see obesity in it’s peak and the young generation are mostly eating junk food, it is time to wake up. Apart from all this, the diet fad which is of all types are effecting our body and life. Intermittent fasting is good but it depends how does a person does. Too long fasting can be life threatening if not done under observation. The low carb diet is so much a fad that one may get carb resistance and can never eat carbs again.

In all this we see the protein shakes are getting very popular and not knowing what it contains. If it contain too much sugar or sugar free and flavors what would it benefit. Protein is good but protein from the right source is very necessary. Egg is one of the best form of all the nutrients a human need except vit c but many are pure veg. If Egg is non vegetarian then so is milk. As both comes from animal source but we have to understand that an egg is just like we have milk as this kind of egg we get in the market is not fertilized egg.
Today especially in India we have B 12 deficiency as B 12 comes only from animal source of proteins. It is fine to take B 12 supplements. So we make sure we are not depleted by any essential nutrients. This is Omega 3 which one can have omega capsules if they don’t consume fish and other.
A perfect diet is where one has carbs, fibers, healthy fats and proteins. It can be segregated like 60% of carbs and fibers, 30% proteins and 10% fats. Fat is very essential for body as healthy fats have healthy colestrol which is very necessary for our body.

Eating before the sun sets and starving for about 12 hrs in the night which we all do is good enough. Not eating junk and not over eating is way forward for a healthy lifestyle.
We Indians have a very good food routine if we follow our traditional recepies or what a Mom cooks in the home. We all are tremendously lucky to have so many types of lentils and veggies and the way to make them. Our deserts are also healthy if taken in moderation. So eating right is living life.
Eat good, eat enough, eat to live ;
