Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has clarified his recent comments about exploring “options,” stating that his remarks were misunderstood and reaffirming that his loyalty lies with the Congress party and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to the media, Shivakumar said, “For me, the party is paramount. There is no question of exploring any personal options. My commitment remains with the Congress and our Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.”
His statement comes amid political speculation triggered by his earlier comment, which many interpreted as a sign of dissatisfaction. Shivakumar dismissed those claims and reiterated that any decisions made by him would always align with the party’s goals and leadership directives.
The Congress leader’s clarification aims to put to rest rumours of internal rifts in the Karnataka government, reaffirming unity and collective governance in the state.
