Under the Saat Nishchay Part-2 initiative, which was started in 2020, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar declared on Saturday that his administration has met its goal of creating 50 lakh jobs and employment prospects.
“With the announcement made under Saat Nishchay Part-2, our government has fulfilled the target of providing government jobs and employment to 50 lakh youth,” the chief minister stated in a post on social media site X. Our administration has now established a goal to employ one crore young people within the next five years.
The state government is promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship by providing a number of amenities, CM Nitish said. He unveiled a unique economic package for Bihar’s businesses in an effort to increase private investment even further.
“Under this package, the incentive amount given for capital subsidy, interest subsidy and GST will be doubled,” he said, highlighting the government’s focus on industrial growth alongside employment generation.
According to the CM, each district will receive property for new industries, and those that offer more job prospects would receive land at no cost. He also promised to give priority to resolving problems pertaining to the distribution of land for industries.
“All these facilities will be given to entrepreneurs setting up industries in the next six months. Apart from this, many additional provisions have also been made to help entrepreneurs. A detailed notification will be issued separately,” CM Nitish said.
“The goal of these initiatives is to make Bihar’s youth skilled, self-reliant, and ensure maximum employment opportunities,” the Chief Minister continued. Political analysts point out that the announcements, which include efforts to support the sector and create jobs, come ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. The Nitish Kumar administration is announcing plans to appeal to various segments of the population on an almost daily basis. One of the main concerns in this election is mass migration, which has been addressed by these actions.
