The inventory of jewelry and treasures within the Ratna Bhandara of the Jagannath Temple in Puri will resume on May 19, 2026, according to a Monday announcement from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). The exercise will take place on specific dates, such as May 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, and 30, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) authorized by the State Government.
The SJTA states that the inventory process will begin after the daily “Madhyahna Dhupa” ceremonies are finished. The administration has made sure that all of the deities’ customary rites would go on uninterrupted during the procedure. Darshan for devotees will only be permitted from the “Bahara Katha” during the inventory time because to security concerns. Additionally, the necessary preparations have been undertaken to provide efficient crowd control and darshan.
SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee has sought cooperation from all sevaks, officials involved in the process, devotees, and the general public. The administration has also expressed hope that the process will be conducted smoothly with collective support.
