The Indian Army on Thursday morning killed four terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Nagrota of Jammu and Kashmir. However, after the Nagrota operation, Army Chief MM Naravane made a major statement. Terrorists trying to cross the Line of Control (LoC) will meet same fate and cannot take their lives, General Naravane said.
This was a very successful operation by the security forces. It shows the high degree of synergy between all the security forces operating on the ground.
“This is a clear message to Pakistan and the terrorists that anyone who tries to infiltrate India into the Line of Control will be taken in such a way that they will not be able to survive,” he said. Naravane praised the security forces for cracking down on the terrorists hiding in the rice-laden truck and said there was good coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir police and paramilitary forces.
Security forces including the Central Reserve Police Force along with Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir police and the Indian Army were on alert after receiving information regarding a suspicious truck ferrying terrorists. Following this, an encounter broke out between the troops and terrorists at 4.20 am when security forces tried to stop the truck near a toll plaza.
