Odisha is all set for the vaccination process to be held and to finalize the number of people to be vaccinated in the first phase. As per reports, Cuttack topped the list of districts to get a higher allocation of Coronavirus vaccine.
Around 3, 28,634 healthcare workers which include doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff have been registered in the Co-WIN portal for vaccination and along with 1.4 lakh ICDS representatives like Anganwadi workers. The beneficiaries enrolled are –

Even though Ganjam has the largest population with 35.6 Lakh, Cuttack as the center of health facilities registered the highest number of HCWs. These beneficiaries are supplied with the vaccine, which will be given in two doses in a gap of 28 days.
In the second phase, the list of beneficiaries will be depended on the population of people who are above 50 besides pregnant women. As per the reports 29,276 session sections have been recognized and 8,267 vaccinators are equipped for the drive. All frontline health workers from both government and private with each session having 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated.
