The cyclonic circulation over Myanmar has now turned into severe low pressure over South Andaman Sea late on Tuesday. According to the reports of the India Meteorological Department, the low pressure will trigger a cyclonic storm by the end of December 2.

According to the reports of the Bhubaneshwar Meteorological Department, the cyclonic storm will turn into a severe cyclone by December 3 and will hit Odisha and Andhra coast by the early morning of December 4.
If the predictions are correct and the storm intensifies, it will be named Jawad as proposed by Saudi Arabia. Under the influence of the cyclone, several parts of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are expected to receive moderate to severe rainfall from December 3.

Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at a few places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur with extremely heavy falls at one or two places in Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur.
December 5
Orange warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to continue in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Mayurbhanj.

WIND WARNING
Squally wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph over southeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal, on December 2.
Gale winds speed reaching 65-75 kmph gusting to 85 kmph likely to prevail over the central Bay of Bengal from the early morning of December 3 and gradually increase becoming 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph over northwest and adjoining the westcentral Bay of Bengal from the morning of December 4 for the subsequent 24 hours.

SEA CONDITIONS
Sea conditions will be rough to very rough over along & off north Andhra Pradesh – Odisha coast from the midnight of December 3 and become high to very high from December 4 afternoon.
Fishermen have been advised to return to the shore by December 2.
