The deadly Omocron Variant of COVID 19 has gradually started to become a threat in entire India. Within just a few days of detection of the first case, today, the total number of cases in the entire country stands at 40. While many states have been infected with the virus, there are still certain states which still have zero cases of Omicron. The latest two cases have been detected from Maharastra, one from Latur and the other from Pune.

While these two cases were detected on Monday, taking the state tally to 20, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Chandigarh reported their maiden case on Sunday when Maharashtra and Karanataka had also one case each to their total.
The cases of the newly discovered variant of the coronavirus have so far been detected in Maharashtra (20), Rajasthan (9), Karnataka (3), Gujarat (3), Kerala (1) and Andhra Pradesh (1) and Union territories of Delhi (2) and Chandigarh (1).
