Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that the screening of the film Daman, based on the Odisha government’s malaria prevention programme, will be completely tax free.
In real life, the film depicts the humanity of a young doctor providing health care in remote areas of Malkangiri.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the move will improve the service to humanity attitude of all Health Department employees.
On the occasion, Naveen stated that during the COVID-19 phase, all Departments were working together to provide services to the people.
The CM stated that this is an example that should be followed in order to build a healthy and conscious society.
