Tata Steel Mining Limited (TSML) recently held an awareness programme for community women at its Sukinda Chromite Mine on ‘Excellence of Women in Everyday Life.’ More than 150 women from nearby communities in and around the ecosystem attended the event.
Aparna Sharma, an author and certified corporate trainer, led the session.
Throughout the day-long program, participants were given tips from real-life stories of ordinary women on how to identify their core strengths and use them to achieve excellence in their daily lives.
“Almost fifty percent of our society is represented by women,” said Pankaj Satija, Managing Director of TSML, of the session. “We must respect power of fifty for their contribution to making India an economic power.”
Aparna Sharma, who was ecstatic about the overwhelming response from the participants during the interactive session, stated, “Women are now venturing into different careers and shouldering responsibilities beyond the comforts of their home.” When juggling home and career, their emotional, social, and physical well-being suffers as a result of work pressure at home and in their chosen profession. Given this, it is critical to learn how to achieve excellence in day-to-day life in order to achieve life balance.”
