The Harry Potter Era back again ?

Low Cost Invisibility Cloak Invented

A low-cost concept cloak created by some Chinese students reportedly has the ability to conceal human bodies from surveillance cameras, including those controlled by artificial intelligence, which has made the invisibility cloak a dream come true for all Harry Potter fans.

The InvisDefese coat, according to the team, is visible to human eyes but is covered in a pattern that, during the day, blinds cameras and, at night, emits strange heat signals. Due to the way it is made, some self-driving auto detecting systems may be fooled by the cloak as well, but not the human drivers. The coat initially resembles a typical camouflage garment quite a bit. A bespoke pattern created by an algorithm that blinds the camera is visible when examined closely. Students used university security cameras to assess the coat’s functionality during its initial trials. They wanted to remain anonymous. They discovered that the accuracy of pedestrian detection has decreased by 57%. But the evolution did not stop here. They embarked on the task of creating a garment that would deceive both the naked sight and cameras.

This is in response to the recent anti-lockdown protests in China. The nation is renowned for possessing some of the most cutting-edge security measures. These are positioned in their millions on building entrances and street corners. It is used by the police to locate migrant labour, ethnic minorities, and dissidents. Numerous people were detained during the most recent protest utilising facial recognition software.Wei Hui, a computer science major who created the algorithm used to create the coat, told Vice, “We had to apply an algorithm to develop a least conspicuous image that may render camera vision ineffectual.”He added that it will probably cost around $72 to make the coat.
