On Tuesday morning in the Balasore area, an ambulance struck a truck on National Highway 60 under the jurisdiction of the Jaleswar police, resulting in one fatality and six critical injuries.According to early reports, the ambulance transporting patients was travelling from AIIMS, Bhubaneswar to neighbouring West Bengal. The ambulance was travelling when the driver lost control of the wheels and struck the truck from behind near Khusi Praza.
One of the ambulance’s seven occupants passed away instantly. Six further people were said to be in critical condition. The ambulance was severely damaged by the crash due to its severity. After getting the information, Jaleswar police responded quickly to the scene and transported the injured to the Gopikishan Bhattar Community Health Center (CHC) in Jaleswar. The situation is the subject of an investigation.
