He is the Founder of Mascot upgrade Skill and knowledge pvt.ltd (A pan india skill Asessement and certification company) . He is also the founder of Business Club of Entrepreneur Pvt. Ltd. Let us know more about his success story in the interview.
Q1) What line of work are you in , What do you do in Mascot?
Mascot Upgrade Skill & Knowledge Private Limited is currently engaged in skill assessment work with the government (NCVET), SSC, and various state missions and schools. We have successfully completed a lengthy tenure of giving fruitful results by evaluating candidates numbering over 90,000 at the PAN India level.
With our extensive assessment experience, we want to qualify millions of individuals for their future careers, from K–12 education through semi-skilled, skilled, and higher levels in the professional industries.
We make sure that each candidate’s activities are taken into consideration during the evaluation process so that, once they pass, they receive the highest appreciation through our reports.
Q2) What is the problem the Mascot is solving?*
India is a growing economy and have leapfrog United kingdom to be the world 5th largest Economy.We have a very bright future as India is one of the youngest Country in the world with more than 62% of the population is in working age group (15-59 years) and more than 54% below the age of 25 years. Although the literacy rate has improved to 77% in 2022 as mentioned by National survey of India but still then majority population of India are deprived of any formal Education. A large chunk of the population is either School or College drop out or completely illiterate, who find it difficult to earn their livelihood and lead a respectable life in the Society.MASCOT aims at giving a respectable life and social recognition to the underprivileged of the society by providing Skill certification in different Skill sector and make them employable.Millions of people are still engaged in physical labour works such as masons, Carpenter, plumber, Mining workers without any former skill training or learning, which in turn reduce their efficiency and earning capacity. Most among these labour force are deprived of reading or writing any language, which makes their life very hard and struggling.We aim to provide a completely AI powered monitoring Mechanism to assess the uneducated workforce in clearing their Certification for a better quality of life and career growth.
We as the assessment agency certifies candidates from thousands of skill sets and education, our certification is valued after the completion of our assessment process both offline and online. We have varied subject matter experts and have designed lakhs of assessment materials and questionnaires on various level of skills and subjects.

Q3) Being the founder of BCE as one of the entrepreneurs’ bodies, what you have aspired to do so for the young generation?
Ans : Myself, Dr. Sanjaya Chaudhury, Bipin Sahoo, and Badri Narayana Samal, are the four founding members from diversified business disciplines who dedicated themselves to learning how to overcome challenges and were raised in middle-class families made a promise that no one else should have to go through the difficulties they did. Thus, BCE was established in October 2021 and registered to reach out to all business owners and entrepreneurs for assistance, brotherhood, and networking to support both personal and professional growth. This was done by uplifting one another in a professional club and growing individual businesses across the nation well-informed and well-trained to face real business issues with a culture of Respect, Recognition, and Relationship, or the R-R-R core value. The Business Club of Entrepreneurs is the first entrepreneurs’ club in India, and it has the most extensive and effective referral system. Because it guarantees the expansion and renown of their business, it is a platform that entrepreneurs and business owners can rely on. Q4)Will you please mention what extent Odisha has progressed in terms of generating entrepreneurs as you know Odisha is facing a unemployment crisis?
Ans : With one of the youngest populations in the world, 27.2 percent of the population in India is between the ages of 15 and 29. India’s multifaceted growth is reflected in its economy, which has grown from 2 trillion dollars in 2014 to 3 trillion dollars in 2019. With the aim of becoming the third largest economy in the world by 2030/2031, it is possible for every individual to contribute to the country’s growth. Odisha is a mineral rich state and people of this state have very high value and culture. Our Dearest Chief Minister shri Naveen Pattnaik ,have also taken much pain to to start the initiative to build entrepreneur but most of the people are afraid of failure so they refrain from investing and start a startup. A start up not only build entrepreneur but also generate employment and utilise the state resources. We at BCE provide 24X 7 and 360 degree support though our technology. BCE is a platform for seasoned and aspiring business entrepreneur.My advice to Aspiring entrepreneurs — There is no better moment to create than right now.
Q5) To reach the height where you stand today there surely would have been a lot of challenges . How have you overcome those challenges ?
Ans :Failures are part of life, if you don’t fail you don’t learn ,if you don’t learn you don’t change. My journey was very thrilling and exciting ,full of ups and down .The biggest challenge was lack of experience to start my entrepreneurial journey. I didn’t have any knowledge in marketing ,sales, finance or any technical knowhows. I did lots of research and learning about the industry and market. Resources and funding was also a issue in the initial stages as I choose bootstrapping Competing with the established brand and to build a market place was very challenging. But with the right mindset, skills and support I overcomes these difficulties and stand where I am today.
To overcome these obstacles in entrepreneurship journey for the aspiring entrepreneur, we at BCE provide training, facilitate funding, network building and provide technical support so the aspiring entrepreneurs will have a smooth path in their success story.
Q6)So basically BCE helps the budding Entrepreneurs to scale their business. What is your future plan with BCE
Ans : India has a third largest eco system globally, everyday more than 80 start up get registered and now india has more than 80,000 start up but we have only 107 Unicorn operating in India. Lots of start up fails and becomes dormant, we at BCE have a vision to join 1 million Entrepreneur by 2030 and operate in more than 700 district in India. We focus in building more Unicorn in every industry and help business scale new height. We have introduce Start up Intern where we provide on the job training to the different aspiring Entrepreneurs in their field of choice. So that they gain practical and expertise experience in the field of their start up, which will help them immensely when they start their own endeavor. Embracing a growth mindset and being willing to adapt and pivot when necessary can help them over come their fear of failure and build a AATMA-NIRBHAR BHARAT.
