The incident happened in the Ramban area, close to Battery Chashma, on the Jammu-Srinagar route.On Friday morning, a passenger taxi on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Battery Chashma in the Ramban area crashed into a canyon, killing ten passengers, according to PTI.
According to officials, the event happened at 1.15 in the am while the car was travelling from Srinagar to Jammu.
Despite the severe rain, the bodies of every deceased person have been located. Among the dead are the driver of the vehicle, Balwan Singh (47), of Amb Ghrotha, Jammu, and Vipin Mukhiya Bhairagang (23), of West Champaran, Bihar.
