AI: Can We Take Control of the Uncontrollable?

By AUTHOR ABHISHEK HARIDASAN

What an eventful past nine months it has been! I’ve been following the news via short and long form content via AevyTV and must highlight the contribution of Varun, Achina Mayya, and their team’s amazing work. They make AI news fun to consume and reflect on.

The idea of the channel is to bring us a day closer to AI, considering how fast technology is evolving.

All the videos about Sora 2, Nano Banana, Vibe Coding and AI use cases did get me thinking:

1. As image and text generation becomes more optimised and life-like, how do we label AI-generated content and ensure there is no mischief around it?
2. If coding can be done in a few clicks and steps, what happens to those who spent lifetimes learning the syntax and semantics of programming languages?
3. What are the perks of human creativity vs. concepts generated through tokens of memory within AI systems?
4. What is the tipping point for AI, or have we reached a point of no return?
5. Will examinations and assessments continue to be important in an age where prompts and commands give you everything?

While I am all for the amazing things that AI can generate, which are synthetic in nature, the real deal continues to be human ingenuity blended with technology as an enabler!

There’s never been a better time to be a learner and implementer; however, let’s be wary about the possible chaos that can be created if there are no guidelines and guardrails in place.

Let’s profess, protect, and process AI tech effectively, for the benefit of humankind.
