In the Jajpur district on Monday night, two individuals were killed and another suffered a critical injury when the scooter they were travelling struck a stopped truck. Around 10 pm, the accident happened in Phuljhar Chhak, which is inside Tamaka police jurisdiction. After the collision, two persons died instantly, but another person suffered grave injuries. Mahendra Tudu and Man Murmu have been identified as the deceased. Both were from the Kiajhar region. After being taken to Danagadi Community Health Centre, the injured person was then sent on to SCB Medical College and Hospital.
In another incident, a bus crashed head-on with a car in the Chamcher area of the Kesinga police boundaries, resulting in two fatalities. The drivers and passengers of the car were killed. Three victims of critical injuries were taken to the Bhawanipatna hospital.
