On Wednesday, November 15, superstar batter Babar Azam announced his resignation as Pakistan’s skipper for all formats. After meeting with Zaka Ashraf, the president of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in Lahore after the team’s disappointing World Cup 2023 campaign, Babar made his choice.
After careful consideration, Babar Azam decided to resign as captain, although he still vowed to play for Pakistan in all three forms.Babar broke under duress at the World Cup, scoring just 320 runs for Pakistan without recording a century. He failed to rise to the occasion at the bat.
