Barricades To Open On Jan 26 For Farmer’s Tractor Rally

On 26th January the tractor rally inside Delhi has been permitted by the Delhi Police after several rounds of discussion with the farmer’s groups.

The barricades which were installed due to the ongoing protest of farmers due to the new Farm Laws will be lifted at Singh, Tikri and Gazipur borders on 26th January. The barricades will be uplifted once the Republic day parade will be over.  Delhi Police informed that after the parade the farmers would be allowed to enter up to 100 Kilometres within Delhi with their tractors in a circular path on the routes that were discussed with the farmers in the meeting.

As per the reports, the route specified to which the farmers are allowed to enter with their tractors is from Singhu Border to Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, Kanjhawala, Bawana to Auchadi. The Tikri border will be to Nangloi, Najafgarh, Jharoda, Dhansa, Badli and the KMP and from Gazipur border to Apsara border to Hapur Road.

Deependra Pathak, Special Commissioner of Police, Intelligence stated that the farmers had been informed that the rally would start once the parade of Republic day is over. And in this rally, the Delhi police expect full cooperation from the farmers.

But he further informed that the Delhi Police is also on high alert as according to the intelligence inputs various Twitter handles which are operating from across the border are active to the disrupt the rally on 26th January. Around 308 Twitter managed have been generated from Pakistan to create disturbance in the rally and the entire police force is concerned about the security system.

On 26the January several batches of farmers from Punjab and Haryana set out on their tractor-trolleys to take part in the tractor rally in Delhi. Tractor-trolleys have become common at the Singhu border as the farmers have started bringing in the tractors to the protest site from villages in Punjab for the proposed rally.
