While India might be witnessing a possibility of third wave of COVID, a shocking news has spread far across the country. Today, India reports it’s first death related to the infectious variant of COVID, Omicron. A 52 year old person has died in Pune hospital who was suffering from Omicron variant of COVID.

According to the reports, the person died because of heart attack. Therefore, the Maharashtra Government hasn’t given any official confirmation that the person death is directly related to Omicron. It will be revealed only after full autopsy report.
“The death of this patient is due to non-COVID-19 reasons. Coincidently, the National Institute of Virology (NIV) report has revealed that he was infected with the Omicron variant of COVID-19,” a health bulletin by the state Public Health Department said.
