Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Inaugurates Renovated Pond And Park In Berhampur

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the renovated Ramlingeswar pond and the park in Ganjam through video conference.

CM Patnaik stated that the pond will always have a unique place in the tourism map of Ganjam. He also thanked the residents of Berhampur for their assistance in renovating the entire pond and the park. He further stated that the Odisha government is the committee for the development of the city, and even in the future, his government will make sure that the entire town is improved. The work on the stadium, which includes modern facilities, is still working on a waste management center worth 42 crores on the edge of completion.

Even the work on the ring road, which will address the traffic issues, has also begun. The ring road will help the citizens travel correctly and comfortably in the city and help avoid unnecessary traffic problems.

The work on the park near Ramalingeswar pond was started on 18th October 2017 and completed at the cost of `12.52 crore. With around 8.7 acres of land, the park has a creatively designed garden, equipment for recreational activities, and six watchtowers from where people can have a panoramic view of the entire city.

The highlight of the pond is a 35 feet high statue of Lord Shiva constructed at its center. The facility has a floating jetty, boating facility, and food stalls, and a parking area has been built at the spot.
