Teachers have a big say in how society develops in the future. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi declared that teaching is one of the most esteemed professions as he gave employment letters to 16,009 junior teachers (Schematic) at elementary and upper primary schools. For the Nijukti Mela, a unique event was planned at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium.
Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the vital role teachers play in Indian tradition, noting they’re accorded the highest status. “In Sanatan culture, students learned from Gurus in Gurukulas, with Gurus revered like Lords Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheswar,” he said.
Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister of Education, spoke about the Center’s new education strategy, which emphasizes mother language instruction. He emphasized that up until Class VIII, educators can teach in their native tongue, encouraging accessibility and inclusion. The National Education Policy 2020, which emphasizes mother tongue and Indian language instruction to guarantee access, fairness, quality, affordability, and accountability, is in line with this policy.
