CM Majhi Reviews Development Projects In Boudh, Launches Rs 28-Cr Road Project

Mohan Charan Majhi, the chief minister of Odisha, visited the Boudh district on Sunday to examine current administrative and economic initiatives. The Chief Minister, who presided over a review meeting in the District Collector’s Conference Hall, was pleased with the district’s development but emphasized the necessity of accelerating postponed projects and upholding quality standards. In order to improve connectivity in the area, a road project valued at Rs 28 crore was just started, it was disclosed at the meeting. Major infrastructural projects, such as a railway station, a new bus stop, and a hospital with 300 beds, are also almost finished and should be opened shortly.

In order to get information on the status of several departmental projects, the Chief Minister spoke with the District Collector and other high-ranking officials. He gave the administration instructions to speed up slow projects and make sure they were finished by the deadlines. Majhi conducted in-depth talks on a number of important topics, including industry, women’s empowerment, irrigation, agriculture, healthcare, education, rural development, and road and transportation infrastructure. He expressed gratitude for the execution of a number of landmark programs, including as the Chief Minister’s Antyodaya Scheme, the Mid-Day Meal Program, Mission Shakti, and public grievance redressal efforts.

“Significant progress has been made in improving roads, bridges, drinking water supply, and health and education infrastructure. I congratulate the officers and staff for their dedication,” said the Chief Minister. He, however, cautioned against complacency, calling for stricter inspection mechanisms to ensure quality and transparency.

Emphasizing public participation, Majhi said, “Local people must be informed and involved in the development process. Their input is essential to ensure transparency and community ownership.”

He acknowledged challenges such as land acquisition delays, funding constraints, and manpower shortages, and assured state-level support to resolve these issues. “If required, I will personally intervene,” he added.
