CM Majhi Reviews Rs 316 Cr Development Work At Maa Samaleswari Temple

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi gave an overview of the ongoing renovations at Sambalpur’s Maa Samaleswari Temple. The development of the ambitious project to improve the temple and its surrounds was the main topic of the conference, which was held at Lok Seva Bhawan. With an anticipated expenditure of Rs 316 crore, the development work is being carried out across an area of 82 acres in two phases.

Along with additional amenities intended to enhance pilgrims’ and tourists’ experiences, the first phase include building the temple’s surrounding corridor, Gopaljew Math, lighting house, parking facilities, and riverside development. The construction of devotees’ homes, a lake area, retail establishments, a food park, more parking, and entrance walkways are all part of the second phase.

One of the most well-known Shakti Peethas in Odisha, Maa Samaleswari Temple, welcomes a lot of worshippers, devotees, and visitors all year round. As a result of Sambalpur’s rising profile on the Odisha tourism map, more tourists from both domestic and international locations are visiting the city.

Chief Minister Majhi emphasized how crucial it is to guarantee that all development projects adhere to top-notch standards. In order to comfortably house additional guests, he also suggested that the devotees’ homes under construction be made multi-story if needed. He also emphasized the necessity of providing individuals who have been displaced by development operations with appropriate rehabilitation and care.

The meeting was attended by Law, Works, and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan; Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja; Principal Secretary of Works Department Sanjay Kumar Singh; Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Saswata Mishra; along with senior officials and engineers of the Works Department.
