Odisha is preparing for the celebration of 72nd Republic Day on 26th January, the state-level celebration will be held in Bhubaneswar along with the unfurling of the National Flag which will be observed in all the district headquarters.
As per the reports, the list of Chief guests who will attend the Republic Day ceremony was revealed. Governor Ganeshi Lal will unfurl the National Flag at the State level Republic Day in Bhubaneswar and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be the guest of honor.
All the Ministers and the district collectors of Odisha will also hoist the Tricolour at several places on Republic Day. The Home department stated that the collectors of nine districts i.e.; Bhadrak, Boudh, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Kendrapada, Nuapada, Sonepur, and Jagatsinghpur will unfurl the National Flag on 26th January.
On the occasion, the Revenue Divisional Commissioners of the Southern, Northern, and Central Divisions will be the chief guest in Berhampur, Rourkela, and Khurda, respectively.
The remaining 20 districts where the following ministers will be hoisting the National Flag on the occasion of Republic Day-

6. Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Housing & Urban Development, Law Minister Pratap Jena – Balasore
7. Agriculture And Farmers’ Empowerment, Fisheries & Animal Resources Development, Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo – Rayagada
8. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sudam Marndi – Kandhamal
9. Labour & Employees’ State Insurance, Rural Development Minister Susanta Singh – Mayurbhanj
10. Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das – Bargarh

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic without the involvement and participation of school and college student’s parade the Republic Day ceremony will be celebrated As per the Government’s decision, the students will not be allowed to take part in the state-level Republic Day celebration.
