Devotees Can Visit Puri For Free Under ‘Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana’

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi launched the “Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana” with a financial allocation of Rs 30 crore in an effort to provide free darshan of Lord Jagannath for impoverished devotees from distant locations. According to Majhi, the program seeks to grant the aspirations of impoverished devotees who aspire to travel to Puri and receive Mahaprasad and Lord Jagannath’s darshan. The CM also announced funding for the construction of Sakhi Gopinath Temple in Sakhigopal, Mahima Gadee in Joranda, and Maa Tarini Temple in Keonjhar.
“Every Odia desires to have a glimpse of Lord Jagannath in his lifetime. In order to fulfil the wishes of very poor devotees, our Government will launch a new scheme Shree Jagannath Darshan Yojana whereby they will travel to Puri, have Darshan of Shree Jagannath and Mahaprasad free of cost. For this purpose, I allocate Rs.30 crore in the Budget Estimate. We have approved the project “Integrated Development of Maa Tarini Temple Complex at Ghatagaon, Keonjhar” with an estimate of about Rs 225 crore. Our Government is committed to the development of the Mahima Gadi at Joranda and the construction of a Bhabya Sunya Mandap there. Apart from this, concerted efforts will be made for the overall development of Joranda”Majhi announced.
