US President Donald Trump’s recording where he is telling Georgia’s top election official to find enough votes to overturn the election result.
As per a BBC report, Donald Trump told Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in a recording – “I just want to find 11,780 votes” which was released by the Washington post to which Mr. Raffensperger is heard replying that Georgia’s results are correct. Joe Biden won Georgia alongside other swing states, winning 306 electoral college votes to Mr. Trump’s 232.
After the election, Donald Trump has been making allegations that the electoral is a fraud. All 50 states have approved the election result and after the final counting, some have also recounted and legal appeals.
The report further stated that All 10 living former US defense secretaries have urged President Trump not to question the election results in an opinion piece for the Washington Post. The group also said he should not involve the military in voting disputes, an idea that’s been presented by some of Donald Trump’s followers.
The phone conversation released by the Washington Post where Mr. Donald Trump can be heard alternately flattering and pressurizing Georgia’s secretary of state. He emphasized that he had won the election in Georgia and told Mr. Raffensperger that there was nothing wrong and the votes have recalculated.
To which Mr. Raffensperger is responding by saying -: “The challenge you have, Mr. President, is that the data you have is wrong.”
