Dr. Pal’s journey with RCM began in 2020, during a time of global uncertainty. The COVID-19 pandemic had just started, and the challenges it posed were immense. However, Dr. Pal, with his forward-thinking approach, saw it as an opportunity to reaffirm RCM’s commitment to adapting and evolving in an ever-changing world. “Change is not just necessary; it’s inevitable,” he reflects, underscoring his belief that education must constantly evolve to stay relevant.
Taking the helm during such a critical period, Dr. Pal has focused on making education at RCM both affordable and industry-relevant. He emphasizes, “We aim to provide cost-effective, high-quality education that equips students with the skills needed for tomorrow’s challenges.” This vision is evident in the innovative programs introduced under his leadership, such as courses in Fintech, Data Science, AI, and Cyber Security Management. For Dr. Pal, the curriculum must not only address present-day demands but also anticipate future trends. “Our curriculum can’t just reflect what’s happening today; it needs to prepare students for what’s coming day-after-tomorrow,” he asserts.
Globalization has also been a key focus for Dr. Pal. He recognizes the interconnectedness of today’s world and the importance of preparing students for a global economy. However, he remains steadfast in his commitment to quality over quantity. “We excel in Management, Computer Applications, and Tourism Administration,” he explains, “and we don’t plan to dilute our expertise by venturing beyond them. RCM is about quality, not quantity.”
Dr. Pal’s leadership is characterized by a deep understanding of industry needs, which is reflected in RCM’s strong alumni network and international accreditations. He believes that the true measure of RCM’s success lies in the achievements of its students. “A family is recognized by its children’s accomplishments,” he remarks, highlighting the college’s close-knit, family-like environment where mentorship and personalized guidance are paramount.
Under Dr. Pal’s guidance, RCM has also prioritized holistic student development. Beyond academics, students are encouraged to engage in internships, participate in clubs, and attend events like RCM’s flagship annual inter-college fest, Brahmastra. Looking ahead, Dr. Pal envisions a “boutique model” of expansion for RCM, with plans to establish smaller campuses across India and internationally. These campuses will replicate RCM’s successful model, offering specialized programs and fostering strong industry ties. His message to aspiring students is clear: “Dream big but be realistic. Success does not happen overnight; put in the hard work, and success will follow.”
