India’s most successful test captain has finally decided to relinquish his captaincy. One of the best test captain in the history of world cricket, Virat Kohli just gave a shocker to the entire cricket loving people throughout the globe. In his social media accounts, Virat made an official statement that he quits as a captain from Test Cricket.

Virat Kohli is the best red ball captain India has ever produced. In his 7 years tenure as a test captain, Virat lead the side to 68 matches, winning 40, losing 17 and drawing 11 of the test matches. He took India to world ranking 1 in test cricket for consecutive 5 years. He revolutionized Indian fast bowling in such a way that Indian bowling today looks more lethal than opposition in foreign tours. Such is his legacy as a captain in test cricket. Phew those are extraordinary numbers!!!

Virat Kohli recently gave up his T20 captaincy and was sacked as ODI captain. With India having Rohit Sharma as white ball captain, Indian selectors will now have to look for a red ball captain, which is a serious challenge as of now.
