Frustrated by the “unwalkable” conditions on major roads like Sarjapur Road, residents have taken to platforms like Reddit to share photos of broken, uneven footpaths buried under piles of garbage. The outrage was perfectly summarized in one sarcastic comment that became a viral quote: “Sir, there is some footpath in your garbage.” The viral posts highlight the growing sentiment that despite rapid development, the city’s basic civic amenities for pedestrians remain neglected and hazardous.
Kota, Rajasthan: The notorious student coaching hub of Kota registered another tragedy on Saturday evening as a 24-year-old student preparing for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) died by suicide, according to officials.
This latest incident brings the total number of student suicide cases in Rajasthan this year to 20, with 18 of those occurring in Kota itself, raising serious concerns over the immense academic pressure faced by aspirants in the city. The other two cases were reported from Sikar and Jodhpur.
