Arif, a resident of the Reasi area, was detained as a result of the ongoing investigations into the recent double blast case in Narwal in Jammu. According to Singh, an improvised explosive device (IED) concealed within a perfume bottle was found in his hands.
This was the first time a device of this type was discovered in a Union Territory, according to the chief of the Jammu and Kashmir police. Arif allegedly carried out the bombing of the bus carrying pilgrims to Vaishno Devi last May at the direction of his Pakistani handlers, Singh claimed. Arif acknowledged his role in the attack. In addition to the twin bombings at Narwal on January 21 that injured nine people, he reportedly acknowledged responsibility for an IED blast in the Shastri Nagar neighbourhood of Jammu in February 2022.

Two bombings occurred in Jammu on January 21 of this year, injuring at least six persons, according to the police, just before Indian opposition leader and Wayanad-based Congress MP Rahul Gandhi arrived for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. “After the first blast, security personnel adhered to SOPs (standard operating procedures), preventing potential casualties due to the second blow’s far greater intensity. The initial explosive included 750 grammes of material, while the subsequent blast contained 1,000 grammes of explosives “He spoke.Addressing mediapersons here, the DGP said the arrested government teacher owed his allegiance to Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit.
