Guidelines for hiring retired academics as guest faculties at the State’s non-government-aided colleges, such as Sanskrit Colleges and colleges in the 488 and 662 categories, have been released by the Higher Education Department. Until formal slots are filled, the decision intends to use the experience of retiring academicians during the present academic session.
To be qualified to hire guest faculty, institutions must complete all Higher Education Institutions Management System (HIMS) modules before October 31, 2025. At least two extensively read Odia daily will issue ads, and the position information will be posted on the HIMS portal. By guaranteeing educational continuity and experience exchange, the measure is anticipated to benefit both the institutions and the retiring professors.
