According to a Sunday statement from an official, the Ministry of Education will commemorate the fourth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s implementation on Monday at the Manekshaw Centre Auditorium with Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2024. Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education, will grace the occasion and offer his valuable expertise leading the NEP 2020 implementation.
A statement stated that Minister of State for Education & Development of North Eastern Region Jayant Chaudhary, MoS, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar would also grace the occasion.
According to the release, “Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate several important initiatives of the Department of Education, such as dedicated TV Channels to facilitate learning of various Indian languages, a Tamil Channel; Primers for early graders in 25 Indian languages in pursuance to 54 already done; 10 Bagless days Guidelines aimed to transform learning into a fun, stress-free experience in schools; Career Guidance Guidelines, a massive library of over 500 job cards; NMM & NPST in Braille and Audio Books; School Innovation Marathon by AICTE & AIM; and Graduation Attributes and Professional Competencies”.
Aiming to encourage instructors and students to adopt the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), the Minister will also introduce a number of publications and lecture notes. According to the statement, the purpose of Akhil Bharatiya Siksha Samagam (ABSS) is to commemorate the adoption of NEP 2020, reaffirm the commitment of different stakeholders for its successful implementation, and realize the power of working together to achieve common goals.
Renowned academics and interested parties are expected to attend six panel discussions that will explore different Ministry activities throughout the day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the inaugural ABSS event, which took place in Varanasi in July 2022.
